Among all the Miraculous and otherworldly landscapes in Australia, resides the ancient Boab tree (the eternal tree) A natural wonder and stoic survivor, native to the scorched and suburnt plains of the Kimberley region in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The Boab holds water in its' body, stories in its' bark and the night sky in its' flowers. The Boab Table I by Paloma Editions translates the distinctive proportions of its Australian name sake. A broad, irregularly rounded top rests above a single swelling pedestal, its deep edge curving softly into the underside. Fullness and breadth give the composition its character, while the gently shifting outline lends the form a sense of movement. Together, these elements create a sculptural centre for the room.
