The Artemesia Table III by Paloma Editions explores femininity through the discipline of pure geometry. Its circular tabletop rests above a waisted pedestal, whose inward sweep suggests the contours of the body. The breadth of the top and the slender centre of the base create a measured balance between two distinct volumes. Rounded edges lend softness to the precise silhouette. With ornament pared away, the table’s sculptural character emerges through the curve of its profile and the considered relationship between its proportions.
